Tuesday, playing board games I said something so funny to Andy that he called me the next day and asked me what it was... I had to tell him I almost never remember what I'm talking about when I'm rambling.. by way of explaining that keeps me from thinking too hard, which keeps me sane.
also, started going to a juggling club and I am gradually improving. yay!
There was something else too... never mind i forgot.

what bothers me
I was just sent this thing.
http://g2.wnd.com/
It's not on the main page anymore, but in the archives now; where tony blair said that it wasn't people we were fighting. it was an evil ideology reaching its claws deep into the hearts of our great and powerful societies, corrupting the youth of our fair lands.
and-
I know. a lot of things bother me. but this latest news is most upsetting, and since you're here to read from me, I'll tell you why.
One: that this type of underground ranting has reached a certain level of attention in society for reasons of our own shortcomings or its own validity, and that we have sufficient evidence to consider that validity. Remember that book? Kooks by Donna Kossy?
Two: the weapon is fear and we are afraid. I am afraid. I know you don't want to be scared any more than I do and, so you doubt whether you should send these types of briefs on. well, it's my decision to be scared, or to believe it, or not. and here I am like a lunatic, posting it. bust out the meds.
Three: That people who disagree with what is loosely called 'our fundamental ideology,' [for a sense of my own clarity, b.franklin's life liberty and the pursuits thereafter] are called "victims of evil ideology" and not "crazy". This scares me even more because the official position of our media (as the mouthpiece of our government) is that our brains are under attack from evil mind controlling energy beamed from Al-Q, justifying hostilities into the future. Demonize the enemy, victimize the ally.. this is not the path to peace-love-understanding.
grape-nuts cereal looks like a cross between catfood and cat litter. put the soymilk in it and see what it looks like.. MIX that shit up.
I should have left for work 45 minutes ago. more, now. I'm sitting with cereal at my terminal because I can't seem to make myself stand up.

getting nostalgic
ever have one of those soundboxes that recited some mean phrase every time you pushed the button? we had one that said "EAT SHIT" "FUCKIN' JERK! "YOU'RE AN ASSHOLE!" and "fuck you!" in random order. god, I miss that thing.
Reminds me of the old "Mr.T in Yo' Pocket", currently seeing in resurgence. There's one for 'Brian the Dog' from Family Guy, but T's is funnier.

riding in groups...
I was out on h_t and there was a crowd of like 8 guys standing around, and one woman was on the floor holding her helmeted head in her hands.
I slowed down and stopped (they were about halfway out in the lane and asked if they needed to call an ambulance. they looked around stupid, and at each other. another guy scooted up just after me and said 'hey do you guys need a phone?' and immediately one of them answered, 'nope, I got a phone'.
it was just before the 2nd enrance to the pallisades park.. I figured there'd be a cop on s_ave, so I started up again, and about a thousand feet later turned right instead of left- sure enough there were three policia's so I told them about the accident and about where it was, and that there were just a bunch of guys standing around going "duh". he said thanks, and grabbed his radio.
this segues to my opinion on pacelineing or slipstreaming, which I'll gladly repeat... I'd do it if I knew the people, so I could gauge their skill level vis-a-vis my own. I'm not saying I won't fall in line behind a lone or pair of cyclists on the road if the timing and pace are right, but 90% of the time that is just not the case.
There are literally thousands of cyclists on the roads and going on group rides in local clubs. For amateurs (non-professionals) riding in groups of 2-4 is okay, but forget 8+ riding together.. especially when they're (relatively) strangers to each other. Play that game, and you might as well take your helmet and put on some camoflage cycling gear. I just pass em or let em go.
